Strathalbyn Kindergarten Outreach

Strathalbyn Kindergarten & Outreach

Welcome to our Kindergarten

Strathalbyn Kindergarten operates from two locations - this is a unique model of early years delivery as there are only two in South Australia that operate with an Outreach program for preschool delivery.

Our full time location is situated at 9 Coronation Road Strathalbyn.

Our second location- our Outreach is located with the Strathalbyn Children's Child Care Centre situated at 1A Burkett Drive Strathalbyn.

Strathalbyn Kindergarten Outreach

We offer a range of programs in partnership with parents and the community to meet the needs of individual children and their families.

Our Vision Our Values
Our vision is our motto:
"Communities united through play."

To unite our communities through play, we provide a high quality safe, inclusive play based supportive preschool curriculum in partnership with our communities.

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being & Becoming.

Communities include parents, children, educators, local town communities and our 'feeder' schools.
Trust & Respect - gives young children the confidence to explore and take considered risks.

Nurturing & Caring - children learn about care and consideration for others. They begin to see alternative points of view and act in respectful ways.

Responsibility & Empowerment - children strengthen their ability in initiating and accepting some responsibility for themselves, their actions and their environments.

Times of Operation

An average of 15 hours a week of kindergarten are available for your child(ren) per week. Families enrol their child(ren) in one of three groups. Families can vary the amount of time they wish their child to attend.

Coronation Road

At the Coronation Road site they can either enrol in the Koala Group or the Possum Group. The times we operate enable us to provide your child with 30 hour fortnights of kindergarten access. In lieu of 15 hour weeks.
The Koala Group has priority of access for families requiring access to the school bus and operates on:
Tuesday's and Thursday's from 8:30am to 3:00pm.
Alternate Friday's from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
The Possum Group operates on:
Monday's and Wednesday's from 8:30am to 3.00pm.
Alternate Friday's from 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Half days available: Monday to Thursday from 8:30am-11:30am and 12:00pm-3:00pm. Please discuss further with a staff member if you are wishing to access half days in lieu of full days.

Burkett Drive

At the Outreach site (Burkett Drive) priority of access is given to parents booked into childcare at Strathalbyn Children's Child Care Centre.

Sessions operate on Wednesday's and Thursday's from 8:30am to 3:00pm and on alternate Friday's from 8:30am to 12:30pm. At Burkett Drive, children access their 15 hours a week over two full days.
